About us
Melanie Graven
Melanie is a professional potter, wanderer and creative facilitator. She graduated with a diploma in Adventure Expedition and Interpretive Leadership in 2020, as well as a Master Naturalist in 2021. She has had a lifelong passion for environmental sustainability, education, conservation through connecting people to place, and community collaboration through visual, musical and functional arts and events. ​She believes in promoting emerging artists, specifically local Saskatchewan artists and supporting our local professional artists. Melanie’s functional wares, both handbuilt and wheel thrown, are featured at various locations throughout southwestern Saskatchewan including Meeting Grounds in Shaunavon, The Grand Coteau Heritage and Cultural Centre, Cypress Hills Resort,Karma Apothecary in Swift Current, and Rebellion in Maple Creek.
Melanie carves a couple of months out of each year to work throughout Northern Alberta and BC as a tree planter, finding the restoration of forests restorative to self.

Hannah Tristan Graven
Hannah is a professional painter, yogi, and tree planter. Always exploring a variety of visual art mediums including pen and ink, oil, acrylic, watercolor, and gouache. Hannah has been practicing and building on her artistic skills since she could hold a pencil and creation has been a central pillar in her life. Her paintings are featured at The Blue Dog, The Grand Coteau Heritage Cultural Centre in Shaunavon and in various homes across Saskatchewan and Canada.
Another important focus is her passion for people and the environment, engaging fully in ecoregions that she finds herself in. In 2020 she graduated with a technician diploma in Ecosystem Management and since 2019, she spends the warmer half of the year planting trees in wildfire and logged areas in BC and Alberta. In the off season, she can be found in her studio exploring her creative intuition, or at The Blue Dog.
