Melanie Graven

She has had a lifelong passion for environmental sustainability, education, conservation through connecting people to place, and community collaboration through visual, musical and functional arts and events. She believes in promoting emerging artists, specifically local Saskatchewan artists and supporting our local professional artists.  Melanie’s functional wares, both handbuilt and wheel thrown,  are featured at various locations throughout southwestern Saskatchewan including Meeting Grounds in Shaunavon, The Grand Coteau Heritage and Cultural Centre, Cypress Hills Resort,Karma Apothecary in Swift Current, and Rebellion in Maple Creek.

Melanie carves a couple of months out of each year to work throughout Northern Alberta and BC as a tree planter, finding the restoration of forests restorative to self.
